He was Silent Witness's trainer and kept running the horse when there was something obviously wrong with him. This was at the end of SW's career, but that horse owed no one anything. The owners allowed Cruz to continue on with SW, which under those particular circumstances, should have been handled differently. Silent Witness deserved way better than he got. Just my opinion here.
