Many great memories when I got there as well. Seeing how amazingly beautiful it was. Calling the Flamingo Stakes. Pistols and Roses. The grey horse of Marty Wolfson's whose name escapes me. Watching the Flamingos fly once a day before the feature. The wonderful old school press box. The great Cuban food just outside the gates.

I should have never left Hialeah. Even though it eventually closed I wish I'd stayed till the end. I left to call Golden Gate Fields because it was closer to home. That was a mistake.

A truly GREAT racetrack in it's day.
Was that Winfama?
