Default Kudos TBD

I discovered Tampa Bay Downs in 2005. Absolutely, top choice for playing thoroughbreds in Florida. GP is inept and Crc grinds horses into ground with its overly long season. Also, TBD is hidden gem for turf players -- great fields, outstanding riders, and better-than-expected payoffs.

I look forward to reading more here from Tampa regulars in coming days, weeks and months.

I have to agree. Why does Calder run such a long season?

This is probably the answer to the Hialeah issues... especially with the Tropical meet about to start. But I'm sure Churchill would disagree...

Listen to Bigsmc, he knows what is going on. I would be cautious of this guy named GPK, last year he was like 0 for 3/4's of the meet.

I agree about GP but their turf courses are competitive and bettable but Tampa is a gold mine for players IMO

There was an outstanding turf jock here the meet before last - A guy named Edwin Molinari...the guy was money. Didn't get here last year (at least I never saw him) and I believe was injured at Suffolk over the summer. Don't know the extent or if he is riding again, but if I see him on a mount over for the Tampa turf course, I usually pay close attention

Kev, I believe Centeno was injured during the Monmouth meet, and has just started riding again the last couple of weeks at Calder.

i believe he is actually riding very well at crc, bringing in some good prices at a time when trujillo and cruz seemingly win almost all the races
