"Dunce cap" horse for me in the sequence is R5 #1, Ever a Friend. Horse will take a lot of money and will be a serious underlay. Note the one win since mid-'06 was over Southern Prince, who would be 20-1 against this group. If I use any other horse besides Silver Stetson Man in the P6 it'll be Bushwacker, who could find himself loose on the lead and the turnback in distance should help.

You knew that without looking? I can't remember who won the 4th at Aqueduct 5 minutes ago.

Yep...Sunriver

Ever A Friend went gate to wire that day at pretty big odds. Javier Castellano was in the irons if I remember correctly.

Silver Stetson Man looks to be the real deal. The place horse in his last two races immediately came back and won at the same level with Beyers of 98 (Mi Rey) and 99 (Johnny Eves). Third off the layoff, he's my single.

I was gunna say he said "if" he used another horse. It's difficult to trust this horse. We all knew he would clear.I didn't think he would hold on for 6 and a half, but obviously he did.Bafferts horse ran his race on Sunday.

agreed on both points.

That's the difficulty of the pick 6, you can't "throw in" horses like you can in a pick 4, etc. Should have used on a backup ticket, however.

Carrothers is 3 for 3 right now with below left, and this was on a $120 budget....

7: 3
8: 5
9: 7,9,12,13

That was sort of a tough loss in my opinion. He loses to Gomez and the fav in the 8th and then to Smith and a 3-1 horse in the least going 4 deep. But still very good handicapping by Matt with a limited budget. I wonder if he had at least 5 of 6 on his "larger" ticket he played.
