For first off a long layoff and at a distance less than his best, I think Giacomo's race looked pretty good. I thought he might not get the pace he needed to run past the front runners, but 6f in 1:09 and change set it up perfectly for him. I, too, thought it was too bad that Papi Chullo was DQ'ed, because the horse that he bothered (Rathor) was backing up at the time and wouldn't have hit the board in any case. Another one of those overhyped NY allowance winners. (Ring any bells?) No question that PC DID bother him, I noticed it at the time, but still a pity he had to come down.

Isn't Giacomo from the ultra-prolific, all-conquering Sir Gallahad line?

Please tell us ... oh great pedigree genius ... about all the champions the Sir Gallahad line has produced ... especially during its Golden Age ... from 1945-1955.
