But I have promises to keep,

Betrayal to right of him,
Betrayal to left of him,
Shiv in wait behind him
Sharp and twisting;
Stormed at with silence from hell,
While the past and present fell,
He had thought it so well
But did come through the jaws of Death
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of him,
Left of the conundrum.

Why does his glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wondered.
Honour the charge he made!
Honour the his light and do not jade,
Noble conundrum!

READY!

They prepared.

AIM!

They took keen sight.

FIRE!

A volley....sounded as one and found their mark.

A legion of good, strong shooters took pride when told there were no blanks...all rounds were live.

So as to know they all had a proud hand.

The doomed remains were thrown into the shredder.

WHIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

His last wishes..

Crinkle

Trash can

..never to be known.

When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me:
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree.
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet:
And if thou wilt, remember
And if thou wilt, forget.

Should have been known I would not go gentle into that good night.

And now I go...my biggest yet ....in my sight.

For this one I announce as over

And to all that same good night

But perhaps Morty was wearing a bullet-proof vest?

Tennyson is now rolling over in his grave.

Bad Morte.

I take this to mean you went down to the 7-11 in a bad neighborhood and bought some beer...am I right? Did I win?

The poem is about one of the (many) blunders that took place in the Crimean War... you know, the 600 or so in the charge of the light brigade?

So with that in mind, here's hoping it was lite beer.

P.S. Hope you won.
