the crappy part about this is NO ONE wants to say "I told ya so"! Jocks have a major chip on their shoulder! get over it... the Philly jocks are making progress in their mission... who needs the guild! Tony Black and Bobby Colton are proving just that.. both were officers in the guild and left because of the fiasco.. poor Eddie Accaro must be rolling in his grave!

One of the bigger problems for the riders is that they continually demand respect and then appear to go out of their way to make poor choices. It seems as though they were the only ones who couldn't see this selection was a bad one.

disgusted... is what the industry is... we reach out to help and get Jesse Jackson! I think JV is putting his name on a bad deal! He'll end up trashed just like Chris McCarron....

It's very dangerous when you have a big ego and someone tells you what you want to hear.

is part of the reason the jocks chose this guy manley the 500k loan?? is he 'buying' his job?

making a deal with the devil here. i cannot believe they would sign with a guy demanding 20%. that is so outrageous. they're leaping from the frying pan directly into the fire.

If they're so hard up for 500k I'm sure a bank will loan them that amount at a much better rate than 20%.

yeah, you would think so...but the guild is pretty bad off after years of mismanagement. no telling what the bottom line looks like.

i think we're witnessing the death of the jockeys guild. seems some places (philly park for one) are taking care of themselves, as the guild seems unwilling/unable.

also, originally the deal was for 5%--now he wants the 20...now 5 is hard to beat, but 20?!
