I'm not positive we're talking about the same race, but if so, in the race I saw at Turf Paradise the TVG announcer did mention the spill. It just wasn't right after the race concluded. I remember them saying they would try to get more information as they could, but I had moved on to other things before I ever heard.
Just checked, and I did see the race. I remember the horse "Cache on the Table."

Here's a link to the chart. Bustopher Jr., (76-1 in a $3,500 claimer) is the horse who broke down. Allover Silver, at 78-1, fell trying to avoid. Junior Don B. was eased because of the spill, and then walked off.
