Default Russell Baze at Oak Tree Saturday

Just my random check of results and entries found Russell Baze a missing person for Baymeadows tomorrow.

I would like to go for the Baymeadows close for Sunday, cause they are giving away lots of great stuff! But, I've got these pesky Raiders-Texans tickets I feel obliged to use as a Raiders season ticket holder.

Anyhow, it looks like Russell Baze has two late day mounts in the California Cup series at Oak Tree tomorrow.

A Jeff Bonde horse in the Juvenile, and a William Morey horse in the Classic.

No more baseball, and college football a little on the lackluster side for tomorrow.

So, Oak Tree racing it shall be.

Hmmm this has nothing to do with Russel Baze but does everyone think Imagine is a lock in that turf race? Or does anyone give Memorette a good chance?

Or how about the Somethinaboutlaura and Bai and Bai race? Is anyone going to beat those 2 for the top 2 slots?

I dunno, but I'm in the mood for some wagering action tomorrow, and Oak Tree at 1st glance appears to be a good option.

I do think Hollendorfer gets a win tomorrow, and Somethinaboutaura is one of his three chances....

So Penn National now has ownership of a track in New Mexico with a 49 day meet, and Pat Valenzuela has a few mounts there today.

I've been out of the loop on the Pat V saga. Is today his first time back or something?

Yes NM granted him a license. Cali has a minimum weight requirement which he has not met yet.

I have been watching him ride at NoCal and he has a way about never giving up on the race. He keeps riding when most riders quit. I have to admire the daily effort for so many years.

Congrats.

Unfortunately for me, I was trying to hook Baze and Talamo in the 10th.

It was a fun day of racing, just the same.

Speaking of Kyle Kaenel, he just recently got married to Russell Baze's oldest daughter... he's 20, she's 26 - good luck to them!
