It comes down to the way you run your business. The problem with what I am in favor of, is that horse racing does not run a smart business, or a strong business, or even a solid business. So yes I am being a bit unrealistic. I disagree with your stance of lawyers... It is who has the most money while running the strongest system who wins. A strong Horse racing body with all of the owners and horseman behind it, and operating in a strong systematic way would dwarf Biancone and anything he could muster. Rule to Rule , Dollar to Dollar and Lawyer to Lawyer. However, that is not at all the reality. I think you are correct that a strong stand would be uncharacteristic and difficult here. There are a lot of things that racing does very poorly. It may be one of the greatest sports in the world, but the people who run it do not know a thing about business. It is frustrating to watch. |
