Oh lord, at risk of losing my Derby Trail head for this one -- while the whole wording of the situation up there got out of hand, it's not like DaHoss and Pillow were totally out of line.

Having a poster pull the "i know this. someone told me. who? that, i cannot say here," is one of the crappiest message board lines in the history of the internets. it's what people say when nobody actually told them anything, but they wish to appear an authority on a certain issue. When asked, they dodge it on the basis of "not being able to say here."

It's lame. It's old. It's tired. Someone got called out. Someone threw a fit.

It won't be the last time it happens, but ::gulp:: I'm going with Pillow and DaHoss on this one. If you're worried about people being nice, having people name drop in nearly 100% of their posts (does it count as name dropping if they are names nobody cares about? I dunno. Six and one half dozen, I suppose.) and do the whole i've-got-inside-info-but-won't-ever-say-who's-inside (known in the real world as "making it up") thing is certainly not going to help people be nice to each other.
