What an amazing horse he was, saw the video of one of his Million wins just a few weeks ago.
RIP. ![]() And well done to everyone who had anything to do with him after he retired, looks like he was really well looked after and had a happy life. Great stuff. |

I was lucky enough to grow up in an area where horseracing was popular and during a time when I was able to see and appreciate horses like Seattle Slew, Affirmed, The Bid and John Henry. I wrongly assumed that horses like this would come along quite often. Though I understood that these horses were great at the time, it's not until times like this when you really gain a new perspective and then feel sad not just that old John has passed but that another one like him isn't coming.
