To try and put what happened in context:

In Britain and Ireland the result would have been UNCHANGED.

In America the result would have been CHANGED.

In France....... no one has a clue what will happen. In those instances, it is fifty fifty. I hate to say it, but if a French horse had been placed second, i'm pretty confident the result WOULD have been changed.

The european rules vary between countries. They are much more relaxed than the rules you have in America.

Although Dylan Thomas did cut across a couple of horses, the horses that suffered were beaten at the time and had no chance of winning. Most of the countries in Europe use the rule of "did the interference change the outcome of the race?" and if they can't be sure it did, they usually let the result stand.

I hope Dylan goes to Monmouth now........ but i doubt he will.

Depends on where in America. Some stewards let everything go and other places, almost everything comes down.

Danehill has been dead for over 4 years now, but his amazing accomplishments as a sire just continue to pile up.

O'Brien said he is now coming for the BC Turf. That also means Fallon won't have the mount either.

Really?

They had said that if he won the Arc, that would be his last run.

The French rules are ridiculously strict and he should have been taken down according to them, even though he was the best horse in the race. He took Zambezi out of the race (he wouldnt have won anyway), caused interference with Saddez and Soldier Of Fortune. As No Chance said in Ireland or England, there would be no change but I was so shocked that they didnt dq him...Ive seen much less in France get thrown out (Price Tag in the French 1000 last year was strange!) and I feel that if it wasnt the Arc, he would have been dqed. Also the cynical in me feels that if it was a french horse 2nd, he would have been dqed as well. Best horse won, but according to French rules, he should have been gone.
