I don't get the knocks on Tiago. He's a 3-year-old, which is a good asset with this group of older horses. We know he can go 10 furlongs. And I think he's been unfairly aligned with Giacomo, just cause they're related. He ran well in the Goodwood... tracked a fast pace (closer than usual) made his own breaks on the far turn and was super game. If he moves forward, he's right there, isn't he?

I think most knowledgable handicappers know he is much better then his more imfamous brother. Whether he is ready to compete and win against street sense and curlin yet is another matter entirely. He could be really good next season if you ask me, I know he has gotten better sinse april and may.

He certainly could be a colt that continues to improve. His sire didn't hit his best stride until age 5, and the best of his progeny (Premium Tap, Tap Dance City, Pleasant Breeze etc.) have also tended to do their best work at ages 4 and up.
If he actually runs next year, it wouldn't be at all shocking if Tiago becomes one of the better handicap horses in the country.
