Can't say for sure but i imagine that he WAS ruled out because of FIRM GROUND! It's what people do when they want to protect the health of their horses......... usually.

I don't know where they got to "good to soft" from, unless they have had a lot of rain there today. They were saying they were worried about "firm" ground just two or three days ago
