f you did ask them, what kind of a response do you think you would get?

Uh, DOH! I would venture to say that 99% of all horses would chose grazing in a pasture over being in training at the racetrack. Was this a serious question or do you *really* not know a damn thing about horses?

And to cmorioles, you do that. I hope you have a lot of pasture. No, this is not the PETA board. It's a board for the sport of horseracing, which includes those who just love horses and those who just love gambling. It's kind of like a "checks and balances" system. If either side gets all the power, horseracing is dead. And oh yeah, some of us love horses and gambling. It can be done. Have a little compassion.

I would definitely fall into that category.

People can care about horses and still love gambling on them. We just look at it differently. Takes alot of different people to make up this world.

But I still don't understand jumping someone for saying they cared about a horse.
I cared about what happened to Super Frolic and many other forums were looking for news. So he had a lot of fans out there in horseracing land.

If people don't like the post dont read it, it's not like there weren't many other posts being made today not regarding Super Frolic.

The animosity still baffles me. Doesn't matter if she is "new" to the game. I'm not new, my daddy brought me to the track before I could speak. I still care what happens to them.

Nice, thanks FGFAN. I also love both aspects. And sometimes(ok, many times) because of my primary love, which is horses, I feel at odds with my secondary love, which is horseracing. One could see how this could happen.

In any case, I appreciate MMSC's threads immensely. But if I didn't, I would just skip them. If you don't "get" those threads,,, that's okay. They're not written for you.

Thanks Danzig!!!
I'm having wine as well. The new farm is coming along nicely. I just made a 150 mile trek today to pick up 6 gates, some stock tanks and a couple more rolls of Centaur fence. I shamed the poor guy out of a feed scoop, a big-@$$ pumpkin and a bunch of pens with the business name.

And I see that you are a Redskins fan??¿¿ Me too, born and raised in D.C./suburban Md.

This is how I feel everyday...

Absolutely! Very good. That, and I'm hoping to start a new trend here on DerbyTrail.

Yes, Cardus!! Very well done. That is my intention. I've been known to mesmerize the unsuspecting into a *coma* with my use of the asterick mark. But, notice, I don't always use it. I like to switch it up with quotation marks and caps.

I roll like that.

Cajun said...I think it was blackthroatedwind who told me that I wasn't a real bettor, and he's right.

That's pretty hardcore. So if you care about the horses you bet on your not real?

Guess I'm not a real bettor either, although there would be others to tell you differently.

Seems like we're all *drinking* now. I'm copying *Suzanne*.

After Super Frolic broke down - I went back to the Asmussen barn to have a look at him - he was in very bad shape in my opinion.

When I asked The trainer who's deputizing for Steve Asmussen and Darrin Flemming about his status - he told me that there was suspensory damage. I asked if he'd make it....and he said he'd know more in a few hours.

I was the only member of the press that day who went back there - I was going to go back again after the last race - however, my biggest bet of the night was in the final race, it won and paid $26.00 - and in the excitement of that..I forgot all about making my second visit back.

Scott Lake's Cantrel broke down as the post time favorite in a stake race on opening day. The post time favorite has now died from the result of an injury suffered during the race in two of the meets five stake races.
