i believe the term is called 'common sense'?

how is it that 90%, at a minimum, on this very board, was able to foresee something like this happening? we're all psychic?

no way am i surprised at this turn of events. as for assmussens 'past' i'd say it's his present as well. he finished serving his six month suspension earlier this year, not as tho it's ancient history.
as for Tiz W, he should have been brought back slowly, i thought this from the moment he made his comeback vs the top 3 yo colt in the country. what happened to taking it easy, to bringing a horse back a step at a time? we all know that it's a dicey proposition bringing a horse back from an injury, and that too often the horse isn't quite the same. so why the mad rush to put him right back in top company? what happened to building slowly, regaining confidence along with a fitness level and mental edge?? i wouldn't hire assmussen to housebreak a dog or litterbox train a cat. absolutely disgraceful!

in all fairness to ezw, he was ridden by the king of all moron jockies, david flores.

i cant say he was going to win, but i have no idea why he just sat still on him almost the entire way around the track. truly weird.

then again, i only saw the race on youbet. i'll have to watch it again on CR.

I wasn't too concerned with the level of competition Tiz Wonderful was brought back against. It's my feeling that either a horse is physically able to run or he isn't. If he isn't, don't run him, no matter who the competition is. If he is, run him, no matter who the competition is. Now, if they were looking for a win, it didn't make sense to run him against Street Sense or any other top 3yo. But if they thought he was physically back to the level he needed to be at to compete, I have no problem with the level of competition they returned in. The competition is not going to reinjure him if he's not ready. The conditions of the race will. My problem would be with the decision to run him at 9f first out of the box.

Im sure pleanty of us have asked for the lords intervention to get a horse home at some point in time. Undoubtedly it fails everytime and to keep the faith I always think God must not want me gambling.

um.. where exactly was I wrong smart guy??

I said I HOPE he wins.. don't believe I ever once said he was going to.

I did just fine at the window on that race so all of the rest is irrelevant.

yeah, sure you did.

even if you did though, which i highly doubt, i'm glad you put such a lack of importance on tiz miserable's welfare.

i keep liking you more and more!

one other thing dude. do you expect that in anytime during your stay on these boards, you will ever post something either interesting, relevant, insightful, funny or even just plain ole non-useless?

do you even have opinions that don't involve being sour?

Nothing like a good old fashioned redboard to stop a thread in its tracks.

EZ can't breath, (possibly genetic problem?). They just want to get through this year before he goes to stud.

DAHOSS Your insinuation that Tiz Wonderful's connections were trying to "squeeze another race out of a hurt horse" is pure prattle and not worth discussing.

I would however be interested in your clairvoyant stance that he would not make the Breeders cup or any other future stakes race. BBB
