We all get tunnel vision. With me, it tends not to be having a bad opinion on a G1 or other stakes horse but rather it tends to be that I convince myself of seeing things on replays that just aren't there (or are not as significant as I think), resulting in bad playbacks. But I wouldn't trade my approach of looking for solid plays on mid-class horses for any other approach. I just wish these hallucinations I've been having for the past month would stop.
