made a couple of decisions and narrowed things down to something playable.

race 5, using 1 4 6 11
don't like sprinters stretching out here, also don't like the 2 off of dull return race.

race 6, using 5 and 8
the 8 should be tough but figure if the five can work in 1:11 and change he can win most six furlong races at DM.

race 7, single 10 and hoping for the best.
10 looks like a new horse with mandella as last race towers over the field.
scared of the 1 but angles working against are post and no poly races and company on the front end means she will likely get weak late again. the 10 from the outside can stalk and pounce.
lonshot super crasher - 9

race 8, single 8

race 9, going wide 1 4 6 7 8 11
a lot can change start to start for 2 yo's, can't go with favorites only

race 10, 7 8 10
in the pick4 i'm also throwing in the 3.

so before scratches we have 4x2x1x1x6x3x$2 = $288

good luck to everyone

I agree. Think I'm going to take a $144 ticket with a few guys and just enjoy the ride. Unless DelMar become formful, or starts to make sense, it's almost crazy to go too deep to hit this.

One horse I'm including for sure is Skimmetry in the 6th.
Looks like a weak field, and a Frankel/Flores 1st timer will get my attention.
Only interesting thing is...does it seem odd that Frankel would have such a non-descript statebred in his barn? Maybe that's a good sign?

Exactly. I just spent an hour seeing if I can find anything. It might be 3 out of 6 and 4 out of 6 unless people really bring out the guns (like 10k tickets) thinking that they can just buy the whole f'n thing

The Pick 6 looks real tough today. I'll have 1or2 tkts on it, but most of my plays are gonna be Pick3's and 1or2 Pick4 tkts.

good luck to all who try today and may you get lucky enough to win..

Haven't played DMR at all, so I'm blind without a cane here... FWIW, my view of the sequence... (In numerical order, NOT order of preference...)

A: 5th

#3 Yes He's a Pistol 7-2
#8 Smoocher 15-1

B: 6th

#1a Heat of the Year (POE) 4-1
#4 Lost Paradise 12-1
#8 Count Brahms 7-2
#9 Hy Temp 15-1

C: 7th

#8 Theverythoughtof U 5-1
#10 Ex Caelis 8-1
#14 Allswellthatnswell 15-1

D: 8th

#8 Placid Lake 2-1

E: 9th

#4 Drill Down 7-2
#11 Georgie Boy 8-1

F: 10th

#4 Soupy 15-1
#10 Papanonie 6-1

<$200 P6 Play:

5: 3-8
6: 1e-4-8-9
7: 8-10-14
8: 8
9: 4-11
10: 4-10

2x4x3x1x2x2 = 108 x $2 = $216

Good luck to all playing..
Steve

thanks Ronnie, had a thrill there for awhile breaking out of the gate with that big price. since i covered a lot with pk3's and pk4's i made a little money on the day and had a good look at the sixer. i guess thats all i could ask for.

scav where were you? I was up at trackside upstairs. there was a guy up there live to the 3 for the six and he got buried on a slow pace and ended up second.

i am sad to see delmar go as i went on a binge there this last week.

Remind me to punch you for not singling that Ellis horse, I could have talked you into that horse with a little conversation.

no lie, i was wrestling all afternoon whether i should double my six ticket and add the ellis horse. it would have made my ticket almost $600 and i got cold feet and opted to put the money instead into the pick four. seeing the payout of 55K makes me feel cheap. hindsight though is always correct.

i don't know the guys name, he is one of those guys you always see up there. you would recognize him.

Yep, I am full of hindsight, great at it. It is only 55k, you make that in a week anyways

i should have taken my own advice.
i got so wrapped up in the pick four and six that i forgot to play the super on this race. the nine came third and the super paid $3801 for $1.
