She struck ("grabbed") the back of a front foot (the soft heel tissue) with the toe of the hind foot on the same side. It was cut.

ddthetide said I have to relate this to you all

TC and I were talking today about Dee Tee getting more horses. I laughed and said, "TC, your barn is going to be filled with 60 DeeTee people all the time!".

And he said, "You folks are welcome anytime, because you guys are happy and having fun, and are fun to be around. That's what it's all about. You aren't complaining about your horse not winning, or how expensive it is, like some other folks".

Isn't that nice of him?

is the "grab" so bad that she favors her other front too much? I know a horse has to maintain balance or risk cutting off the circulation to the lamin and then well... I am such a worry wort.

Glad Cherie is going to visit her.

Thanks for the update.

Naw, she's fine She's no longer wearing a protective bandage on it, the cut is nicely scabbed over on the outside, I pressed on it and she's not sore in the least on it.

Thanks for the fine Report... Did you check and see if Sumwon had the right sunblock for her vacation ? Not sure what SFP would be needed .

Dang, no, forgot about that

Guess we'll have a rather faded, but happy, bay horse with a brown mane and tail in three months

It's been almost 36 hours - I can't believe Steve hasn't yet undergone withdrawal from his girl, and flown in for a brief visit, and reported back to us!

FYI: Today I talked to Jodi, the lady that owns the farm where Sumwon is on vacation, she said she is doing fine. She said she was running and bucking yesterday and that her daughters are already in love with her. So not to worry she will get plenty of spoiling will out there.
