Just terrible. The financial impact on folks that make their living in the horse industry will be disastrous.

Sorry for venting , What the hell !!!!!
Seems Money as usual matters here!! where the little trainer is unable to move horses apparently this is not a prob for big trainers.
Move your horse interstate ?No prob for hayes, gai or bart for the little guy? 2 years jail or $50k fine.
Pissed yes i am. Not at the trainers just at the way it seems little people get crapped on again in times of hardship seems flu is only for people who dont have money !!
Had A Grump Happy Now :-)

Money is biggest joke in this sport, wherever you are. If you have got it, everything is done for you, if you don't have it, nothing will get done for you.

That does suck though, it's such a shame the little guys get such a hard deal in this sport.

Is it any wonders why more and more people are trying to get out of it when they get treated so differently.

Racing in general needs a big kick up the backside if it isn't going to fall into a heap in the not to distant future, and the first thing they need to do is treat people equally.

Well I guess the news just keeps getting worse. http://news.bloodhorse.com/viewstory.asp?id=40610

There's a BC silver lining. One of the Honk Kong horses planning on the Cox Plate is coming for the Breeders' Cup instead. I hope the Melbourne Cup goes off alright and the Diva and her foal remain in good health. I had heard she was aiming for Encosta and if he's got EI symptoms as the rumor is, I wonder what they'll do. What is the health situation of adult horses that get this? Is it gonna be hard on them but they recover or is risk of death particularly high? I know it's bad for foals' respiratory tracts right?
