I hope Dominguez was just laying off her in the stretch. The TVG video didn't show her across the line

well certainly wasnt what we were hoping for, but she did break well - she's got that part down - and from what could see she was simply wrapped up on and was galloping fine across the finish line - last, yes, but she did cross it...

hope to hear how she comes back as soon as anyone hears????

She crossed last, being cantered home. Stopped. Let's see what Chuck says. Hope the pace was too much for her, and nothing is wrong.

Alright, I'm not gonna call Chuck .... okay, maybe in an hour ... If someone talks to him, post it, please!

THIS is when I wish I was at her race, to watch her come back.

Alright I called Chuck

He said she appears totally fine, not going to scope her or anything - he said Dominguez said she took him to the head of the stretch fine, but when he asked her, she just didn't give. She felt fine running, no problems. He asked, nothing there, so he just wrapped up on her.

Chuck says she is going IMMEDIATELY off to the farm for a vacation. And he thinks that's all she needs.

He's scoped her before, she always comes back clean, no indication that could have been a problem today. He said he is quite sure it's just that she needs a break. There isn't any soreness or anything like that at all.

Default Vacation

Sumwon definitely appears to need at least a brief freshining and maybe a little bit more in terms of a vacation. She certainly deserves it and look forward to her coming back later in the year probably at Fair Grounds.....

that's a relief. i thought she'd come back ok, looked like she ran out of gas, but finished out ok--albeit slowly.

looking forward to seeing our gal in new orleans. hope she enjoys her r & r.

ultimately, keep her safe, happy, and healthy. the rest will take care of itself.

I find it intersting that you find the decision not to scope interesting.

Why spend the money to scope if she's headed off to stand in a field anyway? If she gurgled, Dominguez would have said something. Otherwise, we don't need her scoped to put her on the farm. Wise $$ management by Chuck, in my opinion.....

The race was, what it was. I look forward to her return to 8f races.

She went just as quick on or near the front in both her 1-turn miles and finished up very well. Today she was done at the 1/4 pole. I'd probably want to know. It's easier I suppose to just chalk it up to distance and class.

Her last 2 were showing a decline in form. She's ready for a break after a hard summer. When she gets a break then some cajun cooking into her, she'll will be as good as new and ready for the FG meet .

She finished last, I did see him give her the whip once when she was backing up. She was in a tough field and was going fast early. Tough class and tough distance for her. Hopefully she comes out of the race ok, and will live to fight another day.
