on paper it would have been a different race.

the result may have been the same but I think Feather Bed would have made it interesting instead of a walk over

either way the pick 4 was horrible
the 11th race was the only thing that saved me

the pace numbers for Feather Bed were the only ones that were competitive with La John Travolta

I suppose if you bet the pick for 300 times it would make the race interesting

Featherbed was scratched over an hour before the 7th race, the start of your pick-4.

If you are wagering $300 (or even $1) units on p-4 wagers, don't you owe it to yourself to make darn sure you know the late scratches?

If I was at the track and wagering on a p-4, I would go to a teller and get the scratches punched out before I made my wager.

If I was home and wagering any amount on a p-4, I would go to the NYRA website and check for late scratches.

Live and learn. As far as lessons go, $9 for this one seems pretty cheap.

if a tree falls in the forest and there's no one there to hear it
and yes, I am really cheap. Being a $2 bettor, I find when I spend more it only means that I don't have a handle on the races.
