well with his high power attorneys and money. all he will get is maybe 1 year. he should get more but money talks. and he better plea bargain cause if he is charged with gambling the nfl will have to ban him. like hournig, karras back in the 60's.

that's the sticking point, vick wants no jail and is probably offering to pay a HUGE fine rather than sit in jail. as for the gambling, was that anywhere in the original charge? or is that part of the pending charges? at any rate, if goodell and the nfl find that vick gambled, he's thru.
and of course now the falcons owner came out saying he was shocked (SHOCKED!!) that vick lied. oh, the humanity.
thing is, if he isn't banned for life (as an aside, you think rose has a shot in hell now of ever getting in the hall of fame with these recent scandals?) who will take him? especially when you consider he was more style than substance as a QB.

So, he is going to plead guilty.

Will be interesting to see the deal he has worked out. His attorney has stated “Mr. Vick has agreed to enter a plea of guilty to those charges and to accept full responsibility for his actions and the mistakes he has made. Michael wishes to apologize again to everyone who has been hurt by this matter.”

Going to be interesting from here...

i would bet money he won't. jail time, when he gets out then he gets his nfl suspension. minimum two years out of the league, two years gone. he'll be old news in '09. that's if he doesn't get a life time ban for the gambling. who would want him a couple years from now, along with all the circus that goes with him? besides, he's just not that good. not even top 20 last year--and there are only 32 teams!

As I stated when the charges were originally filed, innocent until proven guilty or plea copped...now that he has done such, I think he MUST be banned for life, anything less will make a mockery of the NFL...and my PETA buddies will be at every game...as they should be! The latest revolting news, that he personally assisted in the murder of 8 dogs found too passive by hanging them first, then when three survived that horror, holding their heads under water until they drowned is not the actions of a man but a pile of dung...I will wait until the exact terms are announced as to exactly what he admits to but the writing is now on the wall...the bathroom wall!

i wonder tho if anyone would want him even if he's not banned for life--and i'll be completely surprised if he isn't banned permanently. he should be! just glad he's in the nfl, not in baseball. just look at how tough selig was on giambi.
