Humble Janet a fast closing second in the American Oaks 100k G3.

Humble Janet was bumped at the start, unhurried early, then had a late rally five wide. Second to Marietta by 1 3/4 lengths.

Am I reading this right? A new track record for a mile and an eighth on the Arlington poly 1:49:39. I know it's new, but I would have thought something has gone a little faster. Or have they not carded that many 9f races there?

it is because it was wet today, rain packs it down and they go SUPER fast.

no idea because I never look at times, but all I know is that when there is rain, the poly at Arlington gets fast, all track records have been set in wet type of environments.
