Weather clearing but damage is done...

Off the turf and fields decimated.. http://www.equibase.com/premium/changes/SAR-changes.asp

Selections adjusted... Caveat emptor on 'one of those' kinds of days... Better today than tomorrow though...

Guess that was time wasted for me last night.

I'll save my $$ for tomorrow, no time to re-handicap for the mud.

* this has got to me a make or break race for Hesanoldsalt in the 5th. I can't see this horse going much lower in class, but he's gotta get a win somewhere. Personally i like Malibu Moonshine and using the 'Salt as a cover

* it pains me to watch this horse race (Hesanoldsalt), another race where he goes eyeball to eyeball with a horse and doesn't go by, lesson learned. I wont be using the money chewer any more

I won some money today, but I got this weird feeling and I'm sure others have felt it before. I'm up money, but feel like I should be up a lot more. I had a $10 Win/Place on a horse at Calder who got 2nd at 35-1, lost to a 16-1 and the exacta paid $600+. Then in the last at Saratoga, I loved the 11 horse and was gonna bet him $25 to win and place with my Calder winnings. I let a guy talk me into betting with him, and we do a $2 tri box 1,2,7,11. We hit it and got 152.50 each, but my win place on the 11 would have been a little over $300. I also decided to play a $4 exacta on that race, and played it 7 with 10,11. It of course comes 11-7, and I'm thinking to myself, I loved the 11 horse, but I play my exacta with the 7 on top, what the hell was I thinking, chalk gets me again. 11 horse wins and pays 22.40 and 8.40.

Like I said, I'm up money on the day but feel like I should have pounded it a lot harder.
