Its awesome to see Big John up on the leaderboards. If you like him you should of heard him being interviewed by Howard Stern, he is an awesome person off the course. Your typical everyday person, who doesnt let being a celeb get to him.

Scavs don't know what hes talking about. I am taking a nice little break from the game for a bit. I actually got in the car the other day, because I saw that Placido was running at Colonial, and I was headed to the OTB to make a bet on him. I didn't make it 3 miles down the road before I turned around. The desire just isn't there for me right now, as the beating in Toga took its toll.



I would love to see JD around on the weekend. Would make for some seriously entertaining golf.

The typical everyday person has his wife attack him with a knife before a round of golf? And go to rehab and fail... typical everyday guy from Arkansas maybe. Chainsmokers and we are all drunk... holy schneikies.

It would be very interesting if Daly was black to see how typical everyday he would be perceived as.

J.D. is a very poor example to follow.The one thing that is difficult to tolerate is seeing somebody fail to fully take advantage of their gifts.He knows what gift he was given,but simply doesn't work hard enough to use that gift.It's really sad to see them give so much coverage to somebody that simply doesn't work hard enough to compete.I mean this guy is in no shape to play 4 competitive rounds of golf.

no, not typical....but every state has their share of drunk, many times married wife beaters. every sport too....look at jose canseco!

Its from my days at The University of Texas.

The Arkansas football... ahhh all the sports I ever went to watch that involved Arkansas fans, the absolute worst fans I have ever encountered. By far the worst. I know the South East conference is supposed to have some really bad fans (I have heard LSU in Baton Rouge is not a place for the visiting team but I have never witnessed it), but if any are worse than Arkansas fans I would like to know.

yeah, we got some grief from ark fans when we went to the lsu-ark game in little rock....cussed at, flipped off, etc. guys hollered go back to louisiana--we said, but we live in arkansas! then some drunk later in the game wanted to give tony a hard time--til tony stood up. he backed off pretty quickly then.
but then, lsu put such a thrashing on them, many in red left before mid-4th quarter.

but if you listen to ark fans, they say lsu fans are bad. and of course ark will badmouth texans....same all over i guess.

LSU fans are pretty militant, especially if their team has a winning record coming into a game with your team (mine is Alabama). The Arkansas fans are deadly and it's those hog hats they wear. The snouts on the end of those hats will knock you out, especially in the close quarters of a stadium. When they swing their head either left or right and you're in the line of fire, those damn things will give you a concussion.

i'll be pulling for bama when the hogs come to visit. i pretty much root for whoever arkansas is playing. i get a lot of funny looks around here when i wear my purple and gold! it's great.

They dont try and kill you, or do a Deliverance dance on you once you get into the shadows? Maybe its just the Arkansas fans that travel to the games.

I know when Auburn played Texas back in the day, the Auburn fans were some of the nicest people I have met. When my Dad went to Auburn, he said the fans greated them and said it was so nice to play Texas. My brother also said the USC fans at the Rose Bowl were very cordial, but stunned after the game. But its not like they were going to do a dance on your rear just cause they lost.

I will say the hookem horns sign down has gotten very, very old. Oklahoma has been doing it since time began.

I realize I have attempted to hijack this thread so I must say something about golf.

I still dont get how Tiger can swing so hard at the ball and still hit it straight. I love the Freddie Couples smooth effortless swing. But Couples(older) is injured and Tiger still swings away though much younger.

I wonder if that viscious swing will catch up to him in later years...
Ahhh he is probably doing some sort of Yoga and stretching to keep his back in tune?

i've heard daly called many things, but typical? i did hear him talking about how he handles the heat, light up a cigarette--and no doubt have a beer or three.
