Hossy my friend,

Hopefully the logic fairy pays you a visit tonight and leaves you something under your pillow.

Like you say though, it's probably pointless to argue this with HS's connections planning to cut-back to sprint races.

I only wish that wasn't the case, as I'd LOVE to bet this horse in the future book. He's the only contender for that race with any colored form, and he's the one far and away most likely to get things his own way, yet he can't beat horses who've shown a slight edge over him repeatedly, in races constantly run to his rivals benefit.

Not if you're looking to make a future book bet.

Why even talk about the race at all if you're not?

The logic fairy swipe was more in regard to your low-blows about the Rockpart Harbor website and suggesting that I somehow have a bias against Street Sense because I called his form dressed up.

I think Azeri getting off slow had a lot to do with Ghostzappers uncontested lead in the BC. I think she would have pressed him

She had every chance in the world to press or pass him, but her jock didn't want her going sub-:47 up front is my guess.

Cool, but I was dead serious about the logic fairy. She is real

Any Given Saturday finished behind Sightseeing and Nobiz in the Wood, and followed that up with an 8th place finish in the Derby at double digit odds. It's funny what good horses are capable of showing when things go exactly to their benefit...as what as happened in AGS's last two big efforts.

I wasn't exactly rooting for C. P. West to hold him off or anything. I'm not a fan of his though...that much is true.

The Kings Bishop would be a great spot for Hard Spun, IMO.

While it is true that Discreet Cat is the only horse on that list that even resembles an elite race horse ---- I don't understand why he is the favorite in the futures right now....7/2 is not a good price on a horse who's probably less than that to make the race....but hey, he is God after all. If he can walk on water....turn water into wine....bring people back from the dead....and all those sorts of things, surely he can dominate this sad group of horses.

Interview with Discreet Cat showed up in the Times Union this morning:

Reporter: Good morning Mr. Cat, it has been said that you are very brilliant, do you agree?

D. Cat: I'm alright I guess, but you know who has the biggest balls in town? Street Sense. That dude carried the Juvie Jinx on his back to victory in the Kentucky Derby. I mean have you seen some of the holes he has bullied his way through? I wish I had those balls, heck...I need 4 months off if the wind blows by too quickly.

Reporter: Speaking of time off, how is your throat recovering?

D. Cat: Godolphin didn't want to ruin my good boy image, but truth is, I was being stalked by this dude, DrugS, and couldn't take the pressure any longer and took up chain smoking. I mean, the guy thinks I can walk on water and stuff...I can't even run on dirt on a regular basis!

Reporter: So when can we expect you to race again?

D. Cat: I refuse to run again until the State of New York recognizes my Civil Union with Flashy Bull.

Reporter: Such a shame. It was good speaking with you Mr. Cat.

D. Cat: Likewise.
