I guess the picnic is a good way for a Dad to drag his wife to the track with the kids. I like to wine and dine, but before I do that I sit by the main BBQ stand after morning works. I usually walk around for a while when they clear the track, then make it over to where Im going to the box I could never do the picnic thing, and I could never be at a racetrack with kids or a woman.

It does have something for everyone though

Not even a woman who follow's horse racing like most men follow football, knows how to handicap, and doesn't yammer on and on all day?

Seriously, though, thank you everybody for your comments. I too would like to be "out and about", but like I said, I didn't have any say in the matter. I will escape eventually, I am sure!

Cheers!

I cant watch football unless its the browns or I have action

Not many women beating down the doors to racetracks to gamble. They like the pagentry, and beauty. Most of them dont like to crash the windows

Maybe that's a good analogy for me to use here - sitting in the park on Saturday was like going to a football game and doing the tailgating in a parking lot, but never actually going inside to see the football game. The tailgating thing is fun but I'm there to watch the game from the stands.

I've sat in Turf Terrace a few times, twice for Travers.

I've noticed on Travers they had some "seat charge" that was pretty steep.

But for the most part it's a great spot. Lot of men and women dressed up drinking and capping. Met some great people up there.

Just make sure you get a Saratoga Sunrise - they'll give you a cool glass to take home with it!

It is my experience that if chicks are rocking a dress in the summer, about 80% of them are bedable. Something about sundresses that just look like a party.

I am afraid to ask what you have taken to bed...

I will admit though, nothing like being in the Clubhouse and watching the pretty ladies at Saratoga...
