It just doesn't take much to be the best in the East.
Again the fatal flaw of just looking at offensive prowess. Cleveland got to the finals because they played very good defense in a weak East. DEFENSE. KG can block shots and is mobile. But he gets pushed around underneath. He needs a big physical player to complement him. Allen and Pierce have been forced to produce offensively their entire careers. They are now older injury prone scorers. Exactly how does Boston stop other teams from scoring?

King, you were the guy who picked San Antonio to lose every series in the NBA playoffs?
Think you had
Denver over San Antonio
Phoenix over San Antonio
Utah over San Antonio...?

but you did start a good thread with the Boston sports theme.

Update:

The Red Sox won the World Series.

The Patriots just finished the regular season undefeated and set an NFL record for most points ever scored (breaking the record of the 1998 Minnesota Vikings; Randy Moss played for them too....coincidence???).

The Celtics are 26-3 and could very easily be 29-0. In their three loses:

-came from 20 down to lose at Orlando 104-102 and had chance to win it on the last shot.

-lost in overtime at Cleveland 109-104 when Ray Allen uncharacteristically missed two free throws in the final half minute and LeBron James killed them for 38 and 13 assists.

-lost to Detroit 87-85 when Chauncey Billups hit two free throws with .1 left on the clock.

To be fair, there have been some last minute wins in there too so things have a way of evening out. But they've been in every single game this year. For those of you that said that defense would be the problem, the Celtics are leading the league in holding opponents to the fewest points, lowest field goal and three point percentages, biggest rebound differential, and are third in the league in steals.

Admission of stupidity:

The Celtics play defense.
Doc Rivers has really done a good
job with this team.

Still got to wait to see them
make the Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston tour though.
Patty cake schedule so far.
However, first significant road trip,
ending LA was a sign they are good.

I think the Jags are the one team that could beat New England. At their best, Indy could too, but with all the injuries they've had, I don't see it. But Jville is very tough and physical; the kind of team that wins games in January. If the Pats do win next week, it may be downhill from there.
