Can't possibly imagine being at the track and not watching them run live. Tried watching from the BBQ patio last year and thought it was kind of silly to watch a race on TV when the actual horses were less than a 1 minute walk from where I was standing.

So, my answer is, backyard until post parade and rail or seats for the race.

Feel the same...I can sit at home/OTB and watch horses race on TV. I'm not driving 4 hours to watch TV!...
