I just couldnt believe they didnt have a shank on her!! Then there wasnt a groom in sight. And after the race he tried to brush it off, but he just made an a** of himself on national TV. I also noticed that the outrider decided to stand right in front of the filly while she was frozen in place. Now come on, when a horse does that they are either going over or jump forward.Thank goodness she kinda did both because she just clipped the butt of the pony and that could have been very bad.

I was impressed with how Abrahms and Talamo handled that filly when she got upset. He got ran over and never got upset, Talamo never got nervous when she threw him. Then she went out and ran great.

Barry Abrams is a life-long horseman -- and most people don't know that not only was he a standardbred trainer in NJ in his younger days, but he also trained a World Champion and very famous pacer named Guts.

Eric

I certainly didnt know that, but I was very impressed with the way he handled that filly, infact how Ive see him handle most of his horses in the paddock. He seems to treat them more like dogs than horses

Yea and that is prob. what is wrong with her. Dogs that are misbehaving just jump up on you, horses run your butt over!!

I wouldnt have expected him to treat her any different than he did actually. I think from they way he was acting kind of sheepish after the race during the interview he kinda knew it wasnt a very good move with the carwash rag. Just my opinion. And she is a very nice filly and have her on my stable alert and have won money on her alot, including today.

He got ran over because of his own actions! He shouldnt get upset at her, he should be upset with himself for putting that contracption on her. I would hope everyone that has handled a nervous horse in a paddock would have enough sense to have a shank on them in case something happens. He wouldn have had alot more control over her and wouldnt have gotten run over....oh that and not having on boat shoes.hehe
