If Fighting Irish played tackle football in SEC, their program would rival Vanderbilt & Kentucky. In SEC East, ND would trail Florida, Georgia and Tennessee each year. In SEC West, LSU, Alabama and Auburn would each "clean their clock" every year.

i really don't have an issue one way or the other regarding notre dame. as for the fans, every team has fans that go way too far. but, i do think the sec is the premiere conference. all the teams have cupcakes on their schedule.
personally, i'm sick of hearing about boise st, and no way that ncaa '08 should have the cover photo that they have!! it should be the #1 draft pick....what was his name again?? lol

jamarcus russell!!! geaux tigers!

nd is dropping michigan and won't play Bama because that don't have open dates?. don't tell me how tough nd's schedule is. they are making it softer to hold on to that nbc tv contract. this program has become a first class joke !

To be fair, as much as I hate to addmit it partially UM's fault too. ND won't concede because they want USC and UM at home in different years too. It's only going to be a 2 yr hiatus and ND did replace UM with a home and home with Oklahoma. UM is working on a deal with Georgia...no doubt because of the recent success they have had recruiting the Peach State.

The problem with finding a year to resume the series is a bit more complicated because Michigan would like Notre Dame and Ohio State to play in Ann Arbor on opposite years to boost the home schedule.
