He came 4th in the stakes race today, dropped out and wasn't interested in running for most of the race but then realised that he was meant to be running fast and flew down the stretch to just miss 3rd in a photo.

Don't think he would have beaten Martini Red anyway though, she's 3-for-3 now and killed them today.

Love George Simon's commentary at the end of the race. Great that he sounds as excited about a 2yo race up at Ruakaka as he does when he's calling G1 days at Ellerslie.

Something I noticed watching the race is that the second horse was Vanny Fair - he has placed in a stakes race since, so that's a quality field.
