A small field but BTN and Honey Ryder are no slouches. I'm just happy that we got to see him at a 5YO, does anyone honestly think if he were a dirt horse he'd still be around???

I agree with you, he ran what I thought was his best career race this way- last year in the Joe Hirsch.

I agree with you, he ran what I thought was his best career race this way- last year in the Joe Hirsch.

That was a very weird race last year. They creeped the first 3/4 of that race, even though Luzzi was supposed to be on the "rabbit", and EC was 3 wide the whole way.

In all honesty, I didn't fear BTN today at all. It is rare that he fires back to back big races. He ran his race in the Manhattan.

The whole Icy as a rabbit thing didn't really work, because Icy is a fairly legitimate racehorse in his own right and he didn't seem to take too well to being used early. Shake the Bank had no problem doing that.
