Good luck with her.
Thanks, but she didn't eat all of her food yesterday and looked a little lethargic this morning so we scratched...The race filed very lightly (we were the sixth horse in) so we thought we'd take a shot at some of the ones coming in off layoffs maybe catch a piece of it, then like 15 minutes later Pletcher, Abertrani and a bunch of others all entered....It would have been asking an awful lot of her against this bunch....To your question - NYRA doesn't couple entries in stakes races - Contessa had 4 nominated, 2 of which entered, but all 4 would have run uncoupled if they had all gone.

Thanks RBE, didn't notice it was a Stake. Hope she bounces back okay.

With scratches settled, have a little P5 play for Calder.. $500,000 Guarantee, no carry.. Must pay out..

<$100 P5 Play:

7: 4-8
8: 3
9: 3-4-7-9
10: 6-8-9
11: 3-4

2x1x4x3x2 = 48 x $2 = $96

How on earth can the Pick Five not contain the feature race?

Aren't they considering the only Gr. I of the year at Calder the feature? The Princess Rooney? The Smile is a Gr. II... Think of it as the little brother of features...

The Smile is run after the Princess Rooney, the Smile gets all the headlines.

No matter how you slice it, it's pretty damn asinine to have a $500,000 stakes race and then exclude it from your signature wager for the day.
