Now, I wouldn't recommend just doing $500 tickets but it is the idea that you really would only need 10 people at 1k a piece

If you set the bankroll at 10K I would set 1 share at $50 a total of 200 shares and let people buy as many shares as they would like till every share is filled. That would make it so more people can get in on it, also it would make so people can see how it works out before they send more money to the leader. I would not send 1K to someone I have never met, but I would send 50 to 200.
