I've heard he's gotten himself in trouble with trainers before, but I've never heard a good explanation as to what happened. I talked to him after a race early in the Spa meet last year and he seemed a a little frustrated, but said to me.."I've got some live ones this meet, so stick with me." He wasn't lieing, after a slow first two weeks, he really took off from there.
