I guess it depends on your definition of an "a" track. I think most would consider the value of the dailey purses the horses run for. According to the DRF purse value index, there are some 20 tracks that have higher purses. How many "a" tracks do you want?

I was looking for my list to respond, but you've beat me to it. I don't even think Calder comes close to an "A" track. Do we consider places like Delaware and Monmouth "A" tracks? I don't, but they're nice tracks with decent stock running there, offering much larger purses than Calder. Their purses for MSW are almost on par with the NYRA's, Churchill's, and the Southern California tracks, but they are perceived to be lesser quality racing. Those would fall into the high "B" catagory IMO. Calder's MSW purses are less than even a Philly Park.
