Oracle is the one calling him great in this thread. He used the word great which is comical. Guys like Tabor aren't in it to win the Bashford Manor they are in it to win the derby and this horse and all horses that win the BM are not derby winners.

Yes I've read all the comments on the thread and NO ONE, repeat NO ONE, tried to build this horse up to be the derby winner. You're using a strawman.

Fine no derby, how about "His win just now was one of the most incredible things I ever saw. This horse is the goods, and he will run all day. I don't care who debuts where and does what to who, as long as this horse is in training there won't be a two year old who will touch him. And how scary is it that he wants to go farther. I havent seen a two year old like this horse in over ten years. Its about time!!!"

That is a ridiculous statement for a slow horse that won by 1 length. Everyone, and I mean everyone that knows the Pletcher barn (or his father) knows that the Dogwood one they have is a better horse and the other one Scat Daddy is also better. So i guess the "there won't be a two year who will touch him" statement isn't over the top.

is the Quay part pronounced:

Kay or
Key?

Everywhere I have seen the word Quay used, it was always properly pronounced as key.

You got it.

Read in the paper today it's pronounced Circular KEY. Kway does sound cooler though.

Guys like Tabor flew in to watch this race yesterday, it may be insignificant, but the guy has top quality horses all over, I found it interesting he flew in to see the race in person....

Tabor flew in because he is attending the July 2 year olds in training sale at Keeneland.

There is no July two year old in training sale and the yearling sale doesnt start for quite a while. I would guess he flew in because he felt like watching two of his two year olds who were favored in stakes races. I'm sure Quay gave him a hell of a lot of satisifaction. Tabor owned and raced the sire and the dam and this was a "free horse" that he bred. He did him proud.

Tabor is attending the Fasig Tipton--Thanks for all those who caught my error. But I am sure he flew in to see the race, but more importantly, to go to the sales this weekend.

Thunder Gulch has two offspring in the sales.

Hip numbers 462 and 471.

someone correct me if I'm wrong but he (tabor) doesn't usually buy much-- if anything--@ that sale...waits for saratoga and keeneland.
Many of those yearlings go to pinhookers.

I think you are correct. But whatever the reason, he is in Lexington. I can only assume it is for the sales and a litte horse race watching that he took in over the weekend.

Probably right. Guys like Tabor and the Sheikhs rarely fly in just for a race like that. Maybe he just flew in because he wanted to watch the race because he could.

I was just told Tabor's wife bred Circular Quay. I didn't realize she was a breeder. I would think you will see them at all of his races. He is a february foal, which explains a bit.
