you saw through their uselessness and lies early on, which gave you desires to do and see more in life?

actually, in all fairness, i've heard education out here is alot different and more important than where i grew up.

Hmm, I'm not sure I would call is uselessness, but from a very early age I made my teachers earn their pay. If I am going to sit in a room then I damn well better be learning something - otherwise I have other things to do. So I learned early to challenge them - nicely, of course. With very few exceptions they rose to the challenge. I did make several of them cry and tell my parents that I was difficult but the majority appreciated the challenge. There are plenty of crappy teachers out there, elementary, high school and college - but if you insist on getting something out of it you usually do.

All this being said, there are plenty of horses that I wish I could have seen run, and musicians I wish I had seen perform. I'll have to be satisfied with what I can get now.

Maybe 70 years from now someone will have a similar poll and people will answer with horses like Rags to Riches, Invasor, Street Sense and the rest of the usual suspects - and I will have been fortunate enough to see them in my lifetime.

Enjoy today and every day!
