Chad is going a 1/16 and the horse is going an 1/8th. They did this with a Bengals receiver in the 90's and it was a photo finish. Freaking hilarious.

collinsworth was track sprinter. the bengals used him as a possession receiver because he ran accurate routes.

this is just what the sport needs.

i hope the marketing department was wise enough to book a freakshow in the infield.

"one of us...one of us...one of us..."

on the bright side, not much chance the horse gets booked for assaulting a stripper.

reminds me of the great match race between zippy chippy and a baseball player. i think it was the only race zippy was able to win and he was paid a $5000 appearance fee. those were the days

Good old Zippy Chippy. The thing about Zippy is, his sire was 0 for 3 lifetime, and his dam was 0 for 4. What did they expect him to do? It was in the genes! Now I'll admit that 0 for 100 is a bit much, but that only includes his races against other thoroughbred racehorses. He actually defeated a couple of baseball players and a trotter in match races (if I remember correctly) and I KNOW he could have beaten those ostriches they had on the Illinois Derby undercard last year.
Clearly his connections just didn't find the right spot for him often enough.
By the way....in this race....I'll take Ocho Cinco.

The horse will break from the inside from a starting gate at the eighth pole, and Johnson will break from the outside rail going 11/16 of a mile to the wire. The distances are calculated to create a photo finish.
