I am suprised I have not heard more, as this looks to be very interesting on paper. I will be interested to see how well Silent Name performs. Sun King is back... Latent Heat...

The "rabbit" is comical. This horse will be lucky to even sniff the lead in the Met.

Anyone remember when Strike the Gold's rabbit Loach could get no closer than 3rd or 4th early in one of his races?

whats comical is sometimes when you see the "rabbit" getting outrun early by stablemate that he is supposedly setting the hot pace for.

I think tommorrow is the day to finally get Sun King his grade I.

I am hoping that Contessa runs AccountForTheGold. There is a ton of speed in the race.

Silver Wagon is 0-everything going a mile and at Belmont. Dont like him.

Gonna use SK with Corinthian...Political Force....maybe use Lawyer ron for third in tris.

Well cant be worse than last year rabbit!! ICY ATLANTIC

They get him for EC, then runs like a 1 min half mile.
Then they decide he can actually run and decide to run him like a real race horse

This looks like a good race with horses like Lawyer Ron, Half Ours, Silent Name and Latent Heat running. Even Corinthian looks ok.

So then you must think Latent Heat outsprints him early? I'm getting a feeling that Frankel knows Bejarano has to grab a hold of him early in order to get the mile. Half Ours and Accountforthegold coming off route races probably won't get involved in a sub-45 half. I think the rabbit should be able to get pretty close to the lead, if not grab it outright, considering that's his only purpose.

I often try to find a closer who could benefit from the "rabbit" other than the one he's meant for. Sun King applies to that idea perfectly. I think he's a major player tomorrow. However, should Prado be able to stalk just behind the projected hot pace Lawyer Ron will be very, very tough.

Terrific race all in all.

The rabbit is coming out of a very slow paced sprint----however, they put a three furlong work in him yesterday...and he has shown real sprint speed in races on the go back...I'd assume he's fast enough to make the lead as well.

I guess he could make the lead, but I doubt any of the other horses will pay any attention to him. Pretty much any horse in the field can be ahead of him after 1/2 mile if the rider so chooses.

I'll be at Belmont tomorrow for one of the coolest races of the year, and can't wait. The field looks great (although I haven't 'capped it yet), weather looks great, carryover looks interesting. Should be a good time.

so with all the banter, sun king opens at 5/2?

Isnt Latent Heat going to be the value in this race?
