My guess is that most of the NY politicians involved don't even know who these jockeys are.

From coverage of April's bidders' presentations. Tedisco is on the state panel considering the bids.

"He's (Bailey) the guy, that if you want to put two bucks on somebody or a franchise on somebody's back, you can trust him because of his past record and his integrity and ability," said Assembly Minority Leader James Tedisco, R-Schenectady, whose district includes Saratoga Springs. That guy knows quite a bit. I just hope he isn't screwing his constituancy that doesn't care about racing with other idiotic decisions.
