The Guild is the best thing that ever happened to racing. That legislation scares the hell out of me. These things have a way of getting passed sometimes. Not that its a perfect example, but the boxing act comes to mind. Besides, what the hell do politicians know about the horse business? In Kentucky, nothing. The problem with trying to use politicans to advance your cause is the danger of the pols using you to advance their agenda (often to your dismay)

KY pols get interested in racing usually around the time they request a bunch of Derby boxes (comp of course) that used to go to owners and fans.
