These people (Grether guys) are wheeler dealers.I wouldn't be surprised if they were willing to sell him.Like you said,they cut him.So,they have to win money in stakes or high allowance if they are gunna get the value from this horse.Wouldn't surprise me if they would rather make money quickly(rather than have to keep the horse healthy,and run him.)Wouldn't surprise me if they took the sure thing.I remember Zucker saying that when he goes to sales,he has to get bargains etc.,and I don't think he has better clients than Grether.To be honest,I think they would rather sell than take a chance on the horse getting hurt(and then they have a nice horse who they end up losing money on.)I don't think these are the type that turn down sure money.He isn't proven in stakes yet.So they probably have a gelded animal they paid 200k for.They may have gotten 60k in earnings from him.They have no stud value.I bet they would cash out if somebody offered them what they paid originally.Remember,they cut him.They are in recovery mode.I am not sure it was 200k.Somebody else will probably remember what they paid.
