hahahaha...

he ran ok in the rushaway to be 3rd, but the pace was soft and he was still backing up late, i'm guessing he's a 1-turn horse.

You and 2HOT$TV can BITE ME!

Seriously though, I haven't looked at the PPs but my heart will be with Tizzy. I do like RFD though but I don't know if he will "blow him away". Let me look at the entries at lunch and then I will decide.

Hoss, I put Harrowland on my watch list after his last race, when he was boxed in the ENTIRE stretch run! Should get a fair price on Saturday.

I like Asmussen's Forty Grams here. He has run three races on the dirt at 6f or beyond with a Beyer number of 90+.
Only one other horse in the race has run a figure of 90+ under those conditions, and it was Asmussen's other colt, Reporting for Duty, who I think will probably be overbet. (Slew's Tizzy's top # came on the poly, which I basically consider a completely different surface and treat it the same way I would a figure posted in a turf race).
Forty Gram's last three dirt routes have all been in the low 90s which should be good enough to win here.
With a favorable post position and a pace scenario that should suit the running style he showed in his last start, I think he is a good play in this race.

We complain about the Quality here. Remember this is a 3yr old race. Arent all the top 3yr old pointing for the TC races? Most of these have took a shot at the top compitition and are looking for a place to make money and hone there skills to chalange the top tier. Again this is a 3yr old Gr3 that is an alternative to the TC route. This is not a TC race but could very well produce a runner in the final leg. Looks like a very bettable race with some nice colts. Enjoy and quit complaining.

Not that I particularly like Slew's Tizzy but I think his connections should be commended for finding this reasonable, and lucrative, spot for him instead of foolishly running him in the Derby and/or Preakness.

I couldn't agree more. Unless he was hurt or bruised or something and needed an extra week, you can see (given they didn't succumb to Derby fever) that these are connections that did right by the horse.

Absolutely right. We spend a lot of time bashing connections that make poor choices for their horses, so it makes sense to compliment those that do right by their horse.
This is a graded stakes race with a nice purse, and it fits Slew's Tizzy well.
I won't be playing him in this race, but it makes more sense for them to try to beat Forty Grams, Reporting for Duty, and Harrow Land than to take on Street Sense, Hard Spun, and Curlin.
