I agree. He isnt nearly as good as people think. I think the trainer should point this one to the WV Derby, Ohio Derby or Indiana Derby.

that is the thing....he is always coming but never gets there. he is a perfect horse to play underneath.

i think FFC will run Hard Spun off his feet. Coming off a blistering 7/8ths race at CD and now stretching out he will DEFINATELY be in front of Hard Spun. With that being said, I loved HS's gutty effort in the Derby, but I think the result of the Preakness will be the same as last Saturday.

I agree a very gutty performance. My out look is that there will be more sustained pressure up front and more than one will pass down the lane. A win by HS would not shock me though. Some defensive riding might result into traffic problems in the turn and cutting off the shortcut.

Hard Spun can rate if he needs to, but I don't think he's that superior of an animal to handle this fresh group of horses near the front after just 2 weeks rest. I think Street Sense lays over this field, UNLESS Chelokee decides to run. That's when things get interesting.

He seems to be more like Doc Cheney or Hemmingway's Key too me.
