He's a goof.. I asked him Saturday night at the barn. Larry Jones likely tonight, as well as the great Jennie Rees of the Courier-Journal. I'll get Pino whenever DEL is dark this week..
He was great Saturday. GREAT.. And there are some funny stories about what transpired. Pino said when he burst away from the field off the turn, he took a peak for Street Sense and didn't spot him. "Jeez.. I'm gonna win this thing." he said he said to himself... And before the race, Jones told Calvin Borel, "If you try to pass us on the left today, you're going on the turf course." If anyone missed Carl Nafzger Monday, I encourage a listen.. His thoughts and comments are important to anyone who wants to understand the difference between trainers and horsemen.
