They got a court order to enter the house, to there astonishment they found over 100 stray cats having free range in the house and the woman was dead. The smell was so bad that the people who entered the house were wearing gas mask because there was so much ammonia gas from the cats pissing all over the place. These cats were not litter box train. They were also living in the walls and ceilings. They were so malnourished not being fed they were eating the carcasses of dead cats around the house. Most of these cats were put down because they were infested with parasites and diseases. They saved about a dozen kittens. The authorities didn't know what to do with this home so they decided to burn to the ground, because there was no way to salvage this home destroyed by these cats.

they burned down someone's private property?

let's forget about the unconstitutional seizure here. didn't anyone own a bulldozer?

maybe they should have just dropped bombs on it from high altitude instead.

dead. check. i did see that.

what about heirs? without a will it still goes spouse, children, parents, siblings, etc. here in california probate. the order can be different state to state but the government is always the last at at the end of a very long line.

i know it's a crazy thought but i think the poster might have maybe just made up the part about a government agency burning down a house because it was wrecked by cats.

My friend (works for the Humane Society)told me of this and I stated a couple of things wrong. First I thought the house was burned and it wasn't. It was gutted and the only thing left was the frame. Every thing in the house was burn in an incinerator to destroy the health hazard. Like they do in poultry farms that are infected by disease. The kill the birds and burn them to stop the spread of the disease. Sorry for my miss interpretation.
